General Information

Inclusion on the Judges List will be at the discretion of the Committee, after considering the Judges’ questionnaire.

Nomination for inclusion on the Club’s Judges List is taken at any time as Judges list are updated on a regular basis.

Applications for inclusion on any one of the club’s Judges List must be sent to the Club Secretary for consideration.

Judges List Criteria

Kennel Club Mandatory Seminars
The Kennel Club require persons included on the Judging List to have attended a seminar given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer and passed the relevant examination on Kennel Club Regulations and Judging Procedures.
To have attended a seminar given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer on Conformation and Movement.
To have attended at least one breed specific seminar run in accordance with the relevant Kennel Club Code of Best Practice and passed an examination and/or assessment where applicable.

C List (Breed specialists) For aspiring judges who have shown an interest in Pekingese and have the support of the Pekingese Club.
C List (Non breed specialists) For aspiring judges who have shown an interest in Pekingese and have the support of the Pekingese Club.
B List (Breed specialists) To have 3 years experience owning and exhibiting Pekingese and have the support of the Pekingese Club. To have judged a minimum of 30 Pekingese in 3 years at Open Shows, or Sweepstakes.
B List (Non breed specialists) To have a minimum of 3 years judging experience of any one breed and have the support of the Pekingese Club. To have judged a minimum of 30 Pekingese in 3 years at Open Shows.
A3 List (Breed specialists) To have been on the Pekingese Club B List a further 4 years making a total of 7 years and have judged 2 Breed Club Shows and handled a minimum of 60 Pekingese at General Open/Limited shows.  Must have passed a recognised Kennel Club judging exam or assessment and to have carried out stewarding duties on not less than 12 separate occasions in a period of 3 years and to have 3 Pekingese dogs qualified for the Kennel Club Stud Book.
A3 List (Non breed specialists) The person to have a minimum of 7 years judging experience in any one breed and 5 years in Pekingese. To award CC’s in at least one other breed. To have judged a Pekingese Breed Club Show.  To have passed a recognised Kennel Club judging exam or assessment and to have stewarded for a minimum period of 3 years and at 12 shows.
A2 List For judges who have the support of the Pekingese Club to award Challenge Certificates to Pekingese and who have satisfied the Kennel Club that they are competent to do so.
A1 List For judges who have awarded Challenge Certificates to Pekingese.
